History
In July, 1975, twenty-five people met in the Winnetka Library to organize a genealogy society. By January, 1976, they had one hundred charter members. Now the North Suburban Genealogical Society has been active for over 45 years. It has members from neophytes to certified genealogists. Young and old, with different educational and vocational backgrounds, they have a common desire to discover their family roots and to document this information. The more we learn about their lives, the more interesting our ancestors become.
More details about the founding and history of NSGS can be found in the March-April 2021 Newsletter. (Member Log in required)
